Macro Heavy Beef Bowl

Great meal with a lot of calories and macros for anyone looking to bulk or just eat a large meal. Mine came out to be over 1k calories and had 99g of protein! Not for a light eater to have it all at once

Macro Heavy Beef Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jasmine rice
  • 1 lb 93% lean ground beef
  • Brown sugar/monk fruit sweetener
  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Gochujang
  • Honey
  • Rice vinegar
  • Scallions
  • Sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce
  • Spinach

Instructions

  1. Wash your rice and bring about 1.5 cups of water to a boil in a pot. When boiling, add your rice and reduce to a simmer and let cook until all water is absorbed
  2. In a small pan, mix some gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sugar/sweetener and rice vinegar. When the sugars start to melt together, add in a touch of sesame oil as well as garlic and ginger. I used 2 cloves of garlic and just about a 1/2 tablespoon of ginger. Simmer until the sauce becomes a sticky glaze
  3. Sauté your ground beef in its own fat with a touch of soy sauce and gochujang
  4. Plate with rice and spinach at the bottom. Then add on your meat, scallions cut thin, your sauce and then some sesame seeds on top!
  5. Enjoy your meal! Good luck eating it all if you use it as one serving
