Freshly Ground Cheeseburgers

Tried grinding my own burger meat, turned out pretty well, still have room for improvements. 7/10.

Freshly Ground Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

  • American Cheese 1 per burger
  • Black Pepper
  • Brioche Buns
  • Chuck Roast 2 lb
  • Garlic and Onion Powder
  • Msg
  • Paprika
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Grind beef on coursest grind. Form into 4 oz balls of beef.
  2. Press into patty with something flat and dense. Use your thumbs to form a thicker rim on the burger so it doesnt shrink when it cooks.
  3. Mix seasonings together. you want roughly 1tsp of salt per lb of beef.
  4. Season patties
  5. Grill on high heat for ~3 minutes per side at 400-450F on a grill. Top with cheese after flipping.
  6. Serve on a bun with your favorite sauce and optionally fries you can airfry (previous post i have has instructions.
